HAVE AN EXCELLENT, RELAXED, AND JOY FILLED  SUMMER!
ON VOUS SOUHAITE DE TRES BONNES VACANCES

Wednesday, last class of the French school year 2012/13, we had a little party, teachers, students and parents were present. All the children of the "EFMB- FRENCH" performed a little act, the Preteens, and the Youngsters played "Une voyante qui n'a pas perdu la boule!", (original screen play by Jennifer Imboden, Anne Sophie Lourenco, and Delphine Roux), the children were excellent. BRAVO STUDENTS!
Afterward, we tasted delicious fruits, muffins, and various beverages.
Thank you for another wonderful year, it is my pleasure to teach, and be around your  delightful children.
Chéryfa, Kalisa

THE FRENCH CLASS: WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2013.

Hello!

The French class started with the correction of the verb homework, followed by the execution of supplementary exercises "Exercices grammaticaux complémentaire" through Unit 10. This was a review of verbs, prepositions " à", "de", numbers, weather expressions, "je suis + adjective, and + noun, also the near future, and "il y a".

THE FRENCH CLASS: WEDNESDAY, MAY 8, 2013.

Bonjour à tous!

Today the class studied the end of the year project dialogues, the last 10 minutes we played TIC TAC BOOM! a fun game that invites the students to come up with a French word very quickly.

Homework for Wednesday, May 15: write out the verbs from last week, if not done yet (Per Kalisa request), and review the play dialogues.

See you next week!

WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 2013.

This Wednesday the Preteens class, as well as the Youngsters class, spent most of the French class time discussing, sharing, exchanging ideas about our little presentation that will be acted the last Wednesday of May by our students. More details will be announced later on.

Then for the remainder of the class the Preteens under the instruction of Kalisa studied the abbreviated expressions used in "Texting". This is a good way to have the students practice the alphabet, plus the numbers, and to guess what it means, see p. 38 exercises 2,3 of Amis 2 Méthode.

Homework for Wednesday, May 8: Do p. 31 of Amis 2 Cahier, and verbs to conjugate (4 times each), look at "CONJUGAISONS" on p. 116,118 of Amis 2 Méthode.
- SAVOIR/TO KNOW
- AVOIR/TO HAVE
- POUVOIR/TO BE ABLE TO

Have a wonderful week!

THE FRENCH CLASS: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24, 2013.

Bonjour à tous, hello!

Wednesday class opened with the Unit 5 leçon p.36,37 of Amis 2 Méthode, the subject of the lesson referred to the use of dialogues, and the structural formation of asking questions.
The students busied themselves with the lesson  most of the time of class.

The last 15 minutes, both groups (Preteens, and Youngsters) played a French game "Le Baccalauréat" (Find a word that starts with a chosen letter of the alphabet, in different categories- fruits/vegetable, flower/trees, color, first names.......) it was very entertaining, and fun.

Homework for Wednesday, May 1, 2013: do the exercises p. 30 of Amis 2 Cahier, also write out the conjugation of VENIR, VOIR, VOULOIR (each verb four times, per Kalisa request).

See you all next week,
A la semaine prochaine,

THE FRENCH CLASS: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 2013.

Hello!

Today the class reviewed the adverbs p. 25 of Amis 2 Méthode, and p.34-35 of Amis 2 Méthode "Unité 4 On récapitule", the exercises were a bit tedious, but they had to be done, good job students!

Homework for Wednesday, April 24: write the conjugation of the verbs - apprendre, comprendre, prendre (5 times each verb, per Kalisa), you can follow the example on  the conjugation p. 35of Amis 2 Méthode of the verb "prendre", and write it as the same format as on p. 118 of Amis 2 Méthode:
je                    nous
tu                    vous
il/elle/on           ils/elles/

Have an excellent week,
Bonne semaine à tous !
